Burswood-based Platinum Care has just been named as one of the Top 50 Coolest Companies in Australia in Australian Anthill Magazine’s annual ‘Cool Company’ awards.
The awards were launched in 2006 to publicly acknowledge & celebrate Australian organisations that are doing things differently, which is exactly what Platinum Care is all about. Over 700 applications were received for this year’s awards which were divided up into several categories which included Global Growth Award, Micro Business Award, Innovation Award & the X-Factor award, the latter being the category Platinum Care was included in.
“The X-Factor Award will be awarded to the business that demonstrates extraordinary levels of innovative, entrepreneurial and creative flair. The winner of this particularly subjective award will be assessed against the vision, strategy and execution of its exceptionally cool business product &/or service. Judges will apply their own beliefs and attitudes towards the concept of ‘cool’ when evaluating the X-Factor”
“I’m extremely happy that we’ve been included in these awards amongst some very large and very impressive companies. Hopefully this goes some way to showing that even in an industry like aged care, which isn’t particularly glamourous or high-profile, that a small company like ours can make a difference in the lives of our clients & staff by doing things a little differently” said David Stallard, Director of Platinum Care.
This award comes close on the back of the 30 Under 30 Award which Platinum Care director David Stallard received back in July this year, being recognised among 29 other young entrepreneurs under the age of 30 tagged as “the future of business in Australia.” See below for an excerpt taken from the upcoming October/November edition of Australian Anthill Magazine.
